Mindfulness on the Farm

Immerse yourself in the minutiae of a highland hill farm

What to expect...

A farming take on forest bathing... spend time being present, interested and at peace - choosing a particular space or companions that really speak to you. Starting with a cuppa and a chat, to get to know each other and introduce the farm, then our activities. We will walk slowly through the farm, with invitations to sit, observe, touch, smell and interact in the different areas: - Hanging with the sheep. Feet in the grass, watching and/or discussing the sheep behaviour, they might come over to say hello, get a scratch or have a cuddle. - Wildflower wander. Through the heath and along the burn, really taking our time to look at all the tiny beings that are easy to miss, smell and touch them, think about how these interactions are so complex and beautiful. - More to moss. Get absorbed in the heath and fen by the incredible range of mosses - the amazing colours and textures, the role of peatlands and see what else cohabits with the mosses. Your mind will feel rested, taking the time to enjoy a different perspective. Although I have no qualifications, I practice this regularly and am completely open to sharing my experiences or being in silence together. This is aimed at adults and young adults.
